How many days after window film installation to open the window??
The answer is within 7 days right after the installation, you should not roll up or down the window as the tinted film might peel off and to make sure the water pockets inside the tinted film are evaporated, making the tinted film adhere to the window completely (or to make sure you can wait for 14 days).
Why can’t roll down the window after tint?
During window film installation the technician will spray on soapy water so that the adjusting will be smoother and accurate while helping the glue on the tinted film better adhered to the glass surface.
And what is the reason why there is the prohibition not to roll up and down the window within 7 days after installation? That is because after installation, the film surface is still not fully adhered to the window because the film still has some water pockets and that will increase the chance of peeling off while the window is rolling up and down. Therefore, we should wait until the adhesive is completely settled on the window before using the window once again, around 7-14 days and for the water pockets will be vanished within 21 days in order that we can get a beautiful, durable yet completely adhered to the window surface.

- To wipe clean the window after tinted film installation should be used clean soft cloth with clean water only, do not use hard thing such as cold cloth, bristle brush or scotch-brite as it may damage the film surface and causing scratches
- 5. Do not wipe clean the window (the installation side) with the same towel for the car body, cushion or other decorative parts interior because it may contain some sand& gravel, chemicals which can damage the film surface

Common issues after window film installation

- In case, the glass is super curved, after installation the film’s edge may be seen and found more than 1 place in some models
- After 1-7 days of installation, it should not be worried if you find some water pockets, you can take a car to park under sunlight so that the water is evaporated but if you find the bubble that occurred from dust or debris, hair stick on the tinted film which is blocking your visibility, please immediately take your car to the installer for checking and correcting
