- The company will not warrant the product quality of the film in case of two (2) or more film layers is installed.
Maintenance after the installation of the tinted film
- Generally, diluted shampoo or film – on solution is sprayed on an adhesive side of the film and the window for installation. Thus, after installation, there may be a hazy or foggy appearance on the windows. Do not worry, this condition is temporary and is caused by the moisture that is present when applying/installing the film. This hazy/foggy appearance will disappear after 1-4 weeks when the film completely dries and the adhesion is fully reached (4-6 weeks for L60Max Special and 5-8 weeks for safety film). So, in the first 7 days after the application/installation of the film (14 days for safety film), make sure to keep the film taut. Do not move the window up or down.
- Do not wipe, rub or clean the interior side of the window until after 21 days from the date of installation. Ammonia-based products/ammonia-containing-solutions must not be used to clean the film as it will cause deterioration of adhesiveness and peel off. Only use clean water to clean the window installed with the film and use clean cloths to dry it.
- Do not wipe, rub or clean the interior side of the window with cool cloth, abrasive type cleaning agents, bristle brushes and/or with the cloth that is used to wipe the car body, car seat or other materials as it might be contaminated with chemicals/pebbles/dust/shape remains, which can damage the film surface and interrupt the coating layer that prevent the scratches. Such a case will not fall under the quality warranty.
- Split gap of the film may be seen in case the window is very curvy. More than 1 gap may be seen in some window type.
- After 1 – 7 days of the film application/installation (1 – 15 days for safety film), if you still notice air bubble that is not water bubble, please contact the installer or service center immediately.
Tips on how to best choose and maintain your vehicle film.
- It is best to look for a film from a trustable source with a reliable product quality. The performance values of the film must be obtained from reliable manufacturers and the film shall meet the international standard requirements approved by AIMCAL, ASTM, ASHRAE, IWFA, and EWFA. In this regard, Eastman Performance Films, LLC | USA is known for having the highest standard under ISO 9001.
- The supplier of the film should have a longstanding record and experience in the film industry. Look for a company with good reputation of being honest, sincere and responsible. Avoid company that engages in misleading advertising of the product. Make sure to purchase your film with an authorized dealer with a letter of dealership from the manufacturer abroad.
- Look for a product with reasonable price that matches the quality. A high-quality sputtering film is usually at a higher price than a general tinted film.
- The content of advertisements should not be misleading. However, there are cases where brands are making false claims of the film properties. For example, the claimed total amount of solar energy rejected (TSER) by the window film shouldn’t be measured from spotlights as it is inaccurate. As a general rule of thumb, the customer must look for TSER measured directly from sunlight as to avoid ending up making uninformed decisions.
- It is highly recommended to install the film with an authorized dealer appointed by the company to ensure that you will receive a genuine product with standard installation and benefits of the product warranty.
- The film must come with a clear printed brand logo and product code as they are the authentication proof of the product.
- All customers who install lamina film will receive a quality warranty certificate issued by Techno Sell (Frey) Co. Ltd., a sole authorized seller of “Lamina” tinted film in Thailand. This certificate is to warrant that for as long as 7 years starting from the date of installation the film will maintain its Solar Rejection Properties without cracking, crazing, peeling or bubbling from the glass (except for L60MAX SPECIAL model which comes with a 5-years warranty). In the event the product is found/proved to be defective under this warranty, the ‘Seller’ (referred to the seller that installed the film) will make adjustments or replace the film for free of charge.

Film logo… is more useful than you think . Leaving on the film logo that does not obscure your driving vision on the window helps confirm that your film is a genuine Lamina product. In an event you need to make a claim under the warranty, the logo will help our staffs to quickly identify the installed film model. Thus, we highly recommend you to leave a spot of the film logo/code per window pane.
